YAOUNDE, Cameroon--Nestle has named Robert Helou as its new administrator general in Cameroon and neighboring Central African countries, the Switzerland-based company said Tuesday.

Mr. Helou, formerly sales manager for Nestle in Saudi Arabia, takes over from Thomas Caso, who has been sent to be the Nestle's unit in Ivory Coast.

While Mr. Helou's mission will be to "accelerate growth of Nestle Cameroon S.A. and to consolidate its position as leader in agribusiness in the Central African sub-region," Nestle said, his responsibilities will also include Gabon, Chad, Central African Republic, Congo-Brazzaville, D.R. Congo, Equatorial Guinea, as well as Sao Tome and Principe.
