Lukoil PJSC (LKOH.MZ) on Monday reported a 4.1% increase in first-quarter production excluding operations at its West Qurna-2 project, which it attributed to its gas projects in Uzbekistan.

The Russian oil-and-gas company said production rose to 2.4 million barrels of oil equivalent a day, up from 2.3 million barrels a day in the year-earlier period.

Including West Qurna-2, production rose to 21.6 million metric tons, up from 21.4 million tons in the year-earlier period. Production slipped on quarter due to external limitations on Russian companies' production volumes, Lukoil said.

Total gas production rose to 8.98 billion cubic meters, up from 8 billion cubic meters in the year-earlier period, the company said.
