BNP Paribas SA said late Monday that it has completed a share buyback program worth 900 million euros ($1.02 billion).

From Nov. 1 to Dec. 6, the French bank bought roughly 15.5 million of its shares, it said. The bank spent the maximum amount of the program, it said.

BNP Paribas will cancel the shares it has acquired.
