Meredith Corp. (MDP) on Monday said it extended a multiyear
licensing contract with Walmart Inc. (WMT) that will see the
retailer offer Better Homes & Gardens-branded merchandise
exclusively at its stores.
The new agreement extends the deal through the middle of
2024.
The Better Homes & Gardens brand first arrived at Walmart
stores in 1998, and since then expanded from its original line of
gardening products to the broader home category, with offerings
including sheets, dinnerware and home decor. More than 3000 items
are on offer, Meredith said.
"Consumer research continually demonstrates that the Better
Homes & Gardens audience, as well as the larger Meredith
audience, are frequent Walmart shoppers," Meredith said.
