United Technologies Inc. (UTX) Finance Chief Akhil Johri is retiring, Chief Executive Gregory Hayes said on a call with investors.

Neil Mitchill, the chief financial officer for United Technologies' Pratt & Whitney aerospace business, will serve as acting finance chief, Mr. Hayes said.

Mr. Mitchill started serving as Pratt & Whitney's finance chief in September 2016 and has served as United Technologies' corporate vice president and controller. He has also held positions at Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP.

Mr. Johri took up the finance chief post in 2015 and was previously chief financial officer at Pall Corp. He also had spent 26 years at United Technologies in an array of roles.
