On November 17, 2020, Jennifer L. Hamann, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Union Pacific Corporation (the Company) is participating in the 2020 Stephens Research Investment Conference. Ms. Hamann’s presentation includes updates on the Company’s quarter-to-date volume, revenue, and operational performance. She also is addressing the impact of Union Pacific Railroad Company’s announcement of a bonus that will be provided in December 2020 to recognize its agreement professionals. Union Pacific Railroad Company (the Railroad) is the principal operating subsidiary of the Company. The Railroad will pay approximately 31,000 employees a one-time $1,000 bonus, adding approximately $37 million to the Company’s fourth quarter compensation and benefits expense line.
