Union Pacific Operating Revenue, Earnings Decrease in 3Q

Union Pacific Corp.'s revenue and profit slumped in the third
quarter compared to the comparable period for 2019.
The company's net income was $1.36 billion, or $2.01 a share,
down from $1.56 billion, or $2.22 a share, a year ago. Earnings
missed analysts' consensus according to FactSet.
Operating revenue was $4.92 billion, down 11%. According to
FactSet, analysts expected $4.93 billion.
Third-quarter volume rose 19% from the second quarter, Chief
Executive and President Lance Fritz said in prepared remarks.
