Movella Holdings Inc. shares surged 72%, to $5.49, after Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. reported a 6.1% stake in Movella in a securities filing.

Movella provides sensors, software and analytics focused on the digitization of movement for markets including gaming, health, sports and automation.

Shares had declined every day after Movella Inc. combined with blank-check company Pathfinder Acquisition Corp. Pathfinder closed at $8.58 on Feb. 10 and Movella ended the day at $6.20 in its Nasdaq debut Monday.
