Total SE said Monday that it is stepping away as operator for five exploration blocks in the Foz do Amazonas Basin in Brazil.

The energy major said it notified the Brazilian National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels, opening a six-month window period to appoint a new operator.
