Occidental Petroleum Corp. (OXY) said former Schlumberger Ltd. (SLB) Chairman and Chief Executive Andrew Gould has been elected to its board of directors, effective March 1.

Mr. Gould served as chairman and chief executive of Schlumberger from 2003 to 2011.

He also has served as non-executive chairman of BG Group from 2012 until its sale to Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDS) in 2016. Mr. Gould is on the board of Saudi Aramco and BJ Services.
