The U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission said Tuesday that Happy Plugs was recalling wireless headphones and the included micro-UBS charging cable, as the product presented a burn hazard.

The CPSC said the charging cable could cause the headphones to overheat.

The product was sold at Macy's (M) stores in the U.S. and online at happyplugs.com from January through May of this year. The headphones retailed for between $10 and $40.

Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled headphones and charging cable, the CPSC said. They can be returned to place of purchase, or customers can contact Happy Plugs. Consumers will be given free replacement headphones and charging cable, the CPSC said.

According to the CPSC, Happy Plugs received a report of the headphones overheating while plugged into the charging cables, but no injuries have been reported.
