Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On March 2, 2020, A. Verona Dorch, Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, Government Affairs & Corporate Secretary of Peabody Energy Corporation (the “Company”), tendered her resignation. Ms. Dorch is leaving the Company to accept a position with another company. Ms. Dorch and the Company agreed that Ms. Dorch will continue as an employee of the Company until April 3, 2020 in order to promote a smooth transition of leadership.
