Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (APC) on Thursday said the company named Bob Gwin as its new president.

Previously, Mr. Gwin served as executive vice president, finance and chief financial officer, the company said.

Benjamin M. Fink, formerly senior vice president, and president and chief executive of Western Gas Partners, LP and Western Gas Equity Partners, LP will succeed Mr. Gwin as EVP, finance and CFO.

Western Gas is a limited partnership formed by Anadarko Petroleum to acquire, own, develop and operate midstream assets.

Western Gas Partners (WES) and Western Gas Equity Partners (WGP) also named Robin H. Fielder president of the partnerships, succeeding Mr. Fink, who has been appointed chairman of the board of the partnerships. He replaces Mr. Gwin, who will continue to serve on the Partnerships' boards.

Ms. Fielder will also succeed Mr. Fink as CEO of the Partnerships effective Jan. 1, and will also join the partnerships' boards, along with Mitch Ingram, Anadarko's executive vice president, international, deepwater and exploration.

Anadarko also elected Alexandra Pruner and Michael K. Grimm to serve as independent directors of the company.
