ABB Ltd. said Tuesday that its subsidiary ABB Ltd. Thailand is partnering with Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson's Ericsson Thailand Ltd. on digital transformation.

Under the partnership--which comes as part of a 2019 agreement between the two companies on industrial automation and digitalization--ABB will support Thai customers and enterprises with Ericsson's 5G solutions.

According to ABB, Ericsson will become its preferred connectivity partner in Thailand as part of the agreement.

The collaboration will cover 5G-enabled augmented-reality lenses for remote commissioning in manufacturing environments, ABB said.
