Vodafone Group PLC said Monday that Rudiger Grube has been nominated as chairman of the supervisory board of its European telecommunications-tower-infrastructure unit, Vantage Towers.

Mr. Grube, who is currently supervisory-board chairman of Vossloh AG and Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG and was formerly chief executive of Deutsche Bahn AG, will join Vantage's supervisory board and become chairman in advance of the unit's planned initial public offering, which is expected in early 2021, Vodafone said.
