Tesla Inc. produced 145,036 vehicles in the third quarter, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based electric-car maker said Friday.

Of that production, 128,044 were Model 3 sedans or Model Y compact sport-utility vehicles, while 16,992 were Model S sedans or Model X SUVs, Tesla said.

The company's deliveries in the quarter totaled 139,300. New vehicle inventory declined in the quarter as the company improves delivery efficiency, Tesla said.
