PepsiCo to Distribute Bang Energy Drinks in U.S.

PepsiCo Inc. on Tuesday said it will distribute the portfolio of
Bang Energy beverages in the U.S. under an agreement with privately
held Vital Pharmaceuticals Inc., the maker of the energy
drinks.
The Purchase, N.Y., beverages and snacks giant said the deal
will significantly increase distribution of Bang beverages, which
are currently carried in more than 200,000 outlets around the
country.
PepsiCo earlier Tuesday said it had completed its $3.85 billion
acquisition of Rockstar Energy Beverages as it continues to expand
its presence in the fast-growing energy-drink category. The company
had already been distributing Rockstar's energy drinks since
2009.
