10:04 a.m. ET -- Activision Blizzard Inc. is one of the most talked about companies in the U.S. across all news items in the last 12 hours, according to Factiva data. Late Thursday, Microsoft Corp., which plans to acquire Activision, filed a rebuttal to a Federal Trade Commission lawsuit seeking to block the $75 billion deal. Microsoft claimed the acquisition is aimed at making its Xbox console business more competitive and wouldn't hurt competition in the videogaming industry.
