Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On December 16, 2022, Phillip M. Miller informed the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Home Point Capital Inc. (the “Company”) that he would resign from his position of Chief Operating Officer of the Company, effective December 31, 2022. Mr. Miller will continue to serve as an employee of the Company to assist with the transition of his responsibilities during the period of January 1, 2023 to February 15, 2023, after which time his employment with the Company will cease.

Mr. Miller’s resignation is not related to the Company’s financial or operating results or to any disagreements with the Company regarding the Company’s financial, operational, accounting or reporting policies or practices.
