--New Zealand Privacy Commissioner John Edwards described Facebook Inc. (FB) as "morally bankrupt pathological liars" in a Sunday tweet that was later deleted, according to reports in CNN and the New Zealand Herald. He also criticized Facebook in an interview with Radio New Zealand discussing the live-streaming of the Christchurch mosque attacks.

--A Facebook spokeperson told CNN that the company is "deeply committed to strengthening our policies, improving our technology and working with experts to keep Facebook safe."

--On March 29, Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg said the company was enhancing its rules for using Facebook Live and taking steps to fight hate groups in New Zealand and Australia.
