Equinix Inc. (EQIX) on Tuesday said it agreed to buy bare metal automation platform Packet Host Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

The Redwood City, Calif., interconnection and data center company said it plans to use Packet's offering to accelerate the development and delivery of its interconnected edge services.

Equinix said it expects to complete the acquisition during the first quarter of fiscal 2020, adding that it will disclose additional details of the deal upon closing.
