Amgen Lung Cancer Treatment to Be Used by UK National Health Service

The U.K.'s National Health Service will offer Amgen Inc.'s new
drug for lung cancer patients starting in the next few weeks.
The Sotorasib cutting-edge therapy will be initially given to
around 600 patients in England per year. "NHS lung cancer patients
will be the first in Europe to be offered a revolutionary new drug
which stops tumours growing by targeting the so-called 'death star'
mutation," the NHS said.
NHS will begin offering the drug following a rapid access
agreement with manufacturer Amgen.
