U.S. retail sales and import and export prices for January will be released at 8:30 am ET Wednesday. Ahead of these data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While it fell against the franc, it recovered against the euro and the pound. Against the yen, it was steady.

The greenback was worth 115.68 against the yen, 1.1366 against the euro, 1.3549 against the pound and 0.9247 against the franc at 8:25 am ET.
