FTSE 100 Tipped To Edge Higher After Mixed Asia Trading
0634 GMT - The FTSE 100 is expected to open 10 points higher at
7227, according to CMC Markets, after mixed trading in Asia and a
higher close on Wall Street. Stocks in mainland China are lower,
but markets in Hong Kong and Japan gain. The Dow Jones closed 0.6%
higher Tuesday. "Rising inflation expectations have been driving
the market lately and Wednesday could provide some interesting
insights into that story," Danske Bank says. "Today, we get details
from September HICP release in the euro area, giving more clues as
to what drove the surge in core inflation to 1.9%. Also in the
U.K., CPI inflation for September will attract attention, given
Bank of England hawkishness," Danske says.
