French infrastructure company Vinci SA said Thursday that it signed a contract with Benin's government to build electricity infrastructure in the country.

The contract, worth 292 million euros ($349.8 million), was signed by subsidiary Vinci Energies and Benin's finance and energy ministries, and provides for the construction of electricity transmission and distribution infrastructures.
