Airbus SE said Thursday that it will reduce production at its airplane wing plants in the U.K. and Germany for the next three weeks.

The European plane maker said its Filton and Broughton wing plants in the U.K. will have an extended Easter holiday, while the working week will be reduced at its Bremen plant in Germany. While production will be cut, the sites will stay open during the three-week period, Airbus said.

The decision was made after reviewing stock levels built up in the recent period and the demand from Airbus's final assembly lines, the company said.

Airbus's production in France and Spain partially resumed on Monday after a four-day pause due to the coronavirus, while operations in the U.K., Germany and the U.S. have been continuing at normal rates.
