Credit Agricole SA (ACA.FR) said Wednesday that it has appointed Philippe Dumont as its new head of insurance.

Philippe Dumont will replace Frederic Thomas--who is retiring--as deputy CEO, CEO of Credit Agricole Assurances and CEO of Predica, France's second-biggest life insurer. The appointment will take effect on Jan. 1.
