--UniCredit is weighing up as many as 10,000 job cuts and the reduction of other operating costs by as much as 10% as part of its new strategic plan to be unveiled in December, Bloomberg reports citing people familiar with the matter.

--The Italian lender is still reviewing the final numbers, which could be much lower. The dismissals will involve workers in Italy and other countries.

--UniCredit declined to comment on the matter.
