ENI SpA (ENI.MI) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Tatweer Petroleum to explore the possibilities of new collaborations in sectors including renewable energy, as well as liquefied natural-gas supply and exploration in Bahrain.

The Italian company said Tuesday that "renewable energy will be an area of particular interest in order to consider potential business opportunities."
