Eni SpA (ENI.MI) said Friday that it has started production at its Agogo oilfield offshore Angola.

The Italian oil-and-gas company said current production at the field is around 10,000 barrels of oil a day and production is set to reach 20,000 barrels a day in the next weeks.

Agogo--which is located in the 15/06 Block in Angolan water--was discovered in March 2019, Eni said. According to the company's preliminary estimates, it holds over 650 million barrels of oil.
