Eni SpA (ENI.MI) said Friday that it has sold a 20% stake in Indonesia's East Sepinggan contract area to Neptune Energy for an undisclosed amount.

East Sepinggan is located in waters off Indonesia's East Kalimantan province and includes the Merakes development and Merakes East discovery, Italy's Eni said.

Eni and Neptune Energy are already partners on a separate offshore field in the same region.
