Eni SpA (ENI.MI) said Monday that it has found light oil at the
Agidigbo exploration prospect offshore Angola, its fifth discovery
on the Block 15/06 license this year.
Analysis of drilling results suggests Agidigbo could hold
between 300 million and 400 million barrels of light oil, the
Italian oil major said.
The positive drilling results follow discoveries at the Kalimba,
Afoxe, Agogo and Ndungu prospects, which together are estimated to
hold up to 1.8 billion barrels of light oil, Eni said.
Eni is the operator of the block with a nearly 37% holding.
Angola's national oil company Sonangol holds nearly 37% and SSI
Fifteen Limited holds just over 26%
