Enel SpA said Wednesday that it is selling its stake in a Bulgarian wind farm to Swiss-based energy company MET Group.

The Italian energy firm said its renewables arm, Enel Green Power, has signed a share-purchase agreement to sell 100% of its stake in the 42-megawatt wind farm covering two sites in northeastern Bulgaria. The sale, which is expected to be completed by the end of December, marks Enel's exit from the country, it said, and is in line with the company's portfolio-management strategy.

Enel revealed no financial details of the sale.
