A New York court has awarded French luxury goods company Hermes International (RMS.FR) $100 million in damages from retailers who sold counterfeit versions of Hermes handbags and other products, reports Les Echos in its Wednesday edition.

In its ruling, the court also asked search engines Google, Bing and Yahoo to block links to Internet sites selling the counterfeit goods, the paper says. The damages will be obtained from the defendants' Paypal accounts.
