UK unemployment rate remained unchanged as expected in November
In the UK, the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 3.70% in November, at par with market expectations.
UK average earnings including bonus advanced more than anticipated in November
In the UK, average earnings including bonus rose 6.40% in November, compared to a rise of 6.10% in the previous month. Market anticipations were for average earnings including bonus to rise 6.10%.
Euro-zone economic sentiment unexpectedly advanced in January
In the Euro-zone, the economic sentiment index unexpectedly climbed to 16.70 in January, compared to a level of -23.60 in the previous month.
German CPI advanced as expected in December
In Germany, the consumer price index (CPI) climbed 8.60% on a YoY basis in December, at par with market anticipations.
US NY Empire State manufacturing index declined in January
In the US, the NY Empire State manufacturing index dropped to -32.90 in January, compared to a level of -11.20 in the prior month. The Markets were expecting the index to drop to -4.50.
