BARTLETT, Ill., Dec. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- WITTENSTEIN Inc., a leading global manufacturer of motion control products, servo systems and mechatronic systems, has expanded its Northeast Sales team to provide more application support for customers in the region. Two additional team members will now be available to support OEMs, distributors and system integrators with product selection and sizing support: Evan Long as Regional Applications Manager, and Jan Jaeger as Regional Application Engineer. Evan and Jan both reside in the Northeast, making them readily available for onsite technical consultations and training with customers.

This Northeast expansion was in response to customer demand, according to Peter Riehle, President and CEO of WITTENSTEIN North America, who elaborates, "The marketplace is complex, with great disparity in sizing philosophies, which makes it difficult for machine builders and distributors to find the optimal products for their applications. Helping our customers identify the ideal servo gearbox, actuator, linear- or servo drive system can make a big difference in machine performance and cost of ownership. It's worth the investment for us to allocate these resources to our customers – we see it as an investment in the industry."

Our new Regional Application Manager Evan Long will reside in Pennsylvania. Evan Long has more than six years of application engineering experience, specifically in actuators and mechanical drive systems. Evan has deep knowledge of semiconductor, food & beverage, robotics and medical applications. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northern Illinois University.

Residing in Connecticut, Regional Application Engineer Jan Jaeger has six years of engineering experience at WITTENSTEIN headquarters in Germany. Starting in 2011 with a dual work-study program for Industrial Engineering and International technical sales management, Jan progressed to a full-service application engineer, specializing in technical consulting and customer support for all industries. Jan achieved his Bachelor of Engineering degree at State University of Baden-Wuerttemberg in Germany.

Evan and Jan will report to Bill Kollar, Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast Territory. Tom Coyle, Director of Sales for North America notes, "The industrial automation industry is increasingly competitive, and our customers want ways to differentiate. OEM customers want to examine every potential gain on a machine design. Distributors want assistance selecting the optimal products for their customers, at the right size and price. Evan and Jan are well equipped to do this, and will be readily available to our Northeast customers."
