Standard Chartered PLC (STAN.LN) said Wednesday that Anna Marrs, its chief executive of commercial and private banking, and regional chief executive of Southeast and south Asia, will leave the company on Sept. 9.

The emerging markets-focused lender said Ms. Marrs is leaving to return to London with an unnamed financial-services company.

Standard Chartered said its commercial banking division will report to Simon Cooper, chief executive of corporate and institutional banking, effective immediately, but will remain a distinct business.

The bank said that Didier von Daeniken will continue to run its private-banking and wealth-management operations, reporting to the CEO of retail banking in respect to his wealth responsibilities, and the regional CEO of Europe and Americas in respect to private banking.

Ms. Marrs will continue in her role as regional CEO until May 31, continuing the previously announced handover of regional responsibilities to Judy Hsu, current chief executive of Singapore and Southeast Asian markets.

Shares at 0845 GMT were down 1.50 pence, or 0.2%, at 748.20 pence.
