--Royal Bank of Scotland is planning to create a standalone digital bank to take on new challenger lenders in the U.K., reports Sky News.

--Unnamed sources said the project is being led by RBS's former chief operating officer, Mark Bailie, and tens of millions of pounds have been set aside for the project, which remains in its "very early stages", says Sky.
