Phillips 66 (PSX) reported a controlled shutdown of a gasoline-making fluid catalytic cracking unit and emissions at its refinery in Borger, Texas.

In a statement to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the refinery said "Unit 29 FCCU" was shut down Monday night, causing excess opacity from emissions that could continue until June 24.

"Startup of Unit 29 FCCU is ongoing. An investigation into the cause of the incident will be conducted," it added.

The 146,000-barrel-a-day refinery is located in the Texas panhandle, northeast of Amarillo.
