Anyone that watches ABC's popular investment show Shark Tank knows that the "sharks" got swagger and pull to get their chosen investments out to the masses.

One of those outlets is Mr. Checkout, a national association of independent wagon-jobbers and full-line distributors selling through approximately 40,000 independent stores around the U.S. Micro-cap Puration, Inc. (OTCPK:PURA) may not have a shark in its corner, but the company managed to ink a distribution agreement with Mr. Checkout that will send Puration's EVERx CBD Infused Sports Water throughout the extensive network.

Launched last year at Arnold Schwarzenegger's Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio, EVERx is a patent-protected drink known for its high alkaline ionized water, antioxidants, electrolytes and infusion of cannabidiol (CBD), a compound found in cannabis believed to deliver an array of health benefits. CBD should not be confused with THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the psychotropic part of cannabis that is responsible for the "high" feeling associated with marijuana.

10 milligrams of CBD are infused per 500-milliliter bottle of EVERx. The drink comes in lemon-lime and kiwi-strawberry flavors.

"Introducing a new consumer product not backed by a Fortune 500 brand name is extremely difficult, but when done right, the new consumer product can turn into a new Fortune 500 brand name itself," said Brian Shibley, CEO of Puration, in today's news release.

Joel Goldstein, President of Mr. Checkout, is optimistic as well, saying he sees the EVERx beverage targeting two growing markets: sports nutrition and CBD-infused. Goldstein added that he thinks his distribution network can have "great success" getting EVERx on retailer's shelves.

Investors seem to agree measuring by shares of PURA climbing 12.1% in Thursday morning trading to 3.52 cents.
