EAGAN, Minn., June 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Cross and Blue Shield
(Blue Cross) announced today that Cathy Kibbe, director of
strategic planning and analysis, has been recently named one of the
"40 under Forty" by the Minnesota Business Journal. The award
highlights forty young executive business talents and their service
in the community. At Blue Cross, Kibbe leads the strategic planning
and analysis function, including the development and implementation
of the corporate strategic plan and management of the research
function for the company. Hardworking Kibbe describes herself as
practical, "I'm motivated by getting things done and doing a good
job." Richard Neuner, Kibbe's boss, describes Kibbe as the type of
person who makes life easier as soon as she walks into his office.
"She has very high standards," Neuner said. "I can't recall a
single incident in which she has taken on an assignment and I've
been disappointed in her." The "40 under Forty" awards were given
to those who not only have exceptional business skills but who are
also exemplary community members. Kibbe regularly volunteers at the
Edina Public Schools and previously was a volunteer with the Junior
League of Minneapolis and Southside Family School. She also served
on a committee that brought a day-care center to Blue Cross' Eagan
campus. Not forgetting her teaching days, Kibbe has served as a
math tutor at Minneapolis Washburn High School and continues to
serve on alumni/reunion committees for Rochester Mayo High School,
Minnesota Stanford Alumni Association and Delta Delta Delta. Blue
