SPRINGFIELD GARDENS, N.Y.,
July 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- LifeVac
has registered its sixth confirmed save using the revolutionary new
device. The save occurred in a center for Parkinson's
patients in Albacete, Spain. An
80-year-old male patient began to choke on a piece of meat. The
attending nurse followed proper European resuscitation protocol
without success. The LifeVac device was utilized and removed the
object and cleared the airway.
"We are happy to learn that LifeVac has saved another life,"
said Arthur Lih, Founder and CEO of
LifeVac. "This case is further example that the current choking
protocol is not always successful. If the LifeVac weren't available
this would be another unnecessary choking death," Lih continued.
"LifeVac's mission statement is 'Save a life'; we are pleased to
have successfully done so again."
LifeVac has been selected to present at the 2017 American
College of Emergency Physicians Research Forum. Abstract title:
LifeVac-A novel device for the resuscitation of the adolescent
choking victim is scheduled for presentation on October 31, 2017 at 11:00am EDT at the conference in Washington, DC. A copy of the presentation
will be available on the LifeVac website on November 1, 2017.
