Leader in industrial lighting, Larson Electronics has just announced a new explosion proof LED drop light/trouble light that features an explosion proof inline transformer, which steps 220-240V AC down to 12/24V DC. This LED lamp is ideal for general lighting, detailed tasks and inspections, and tank cleaning in hazardous locations, industrial facilities, oil refineries, and food processing facilities and more.
This hazardous location hand lamp is Class 1, Division 1 and 2 and Class 2 Division 1 and 2 hazardous location environment approved. This explosion proof LED drop light is ideal for hazardous work areas where a ready source of easily managed lighting is desired.
An included inline transformer allows this unit to plug into a standard outlet and operate from 120-240 Volts AC, then steps the current down to 12V/24V DC for operating the lamp.
The EHL-LED-7W-240XLV-C1D1-100-2023 LED drop light has no ballast and the housing is constructed of non sparking aluminum which results in a very lightweight unit.
The EHL-LED-7W-240XLV-C1D1-100-2023 has an aluminum swivel hook for convenient placement.

The EHL-LED-7W-240XLV-C1D1-100-2023 is a 10-watt explosion proof drop light designed for hazardous locations. This hand lamp is an international model that operates on 220V, 230V or 240V AC at 50/60Hz, which is stepped down to 12V DC or 24V DC for low voltage applications by an explosion proof inline transformer. The LED lamp emits 1,050 lumens of bright white light, twice the output of a 100-watt incandescent.

By incorporating an explosion proof transformer, operators can use the EHL-LED-7W-240XLV-C1D1-100-2023 within the hazardous location. This inline transformer provides operators with the ability to monitor and adjust input current automatically, maintaining the correct LED voltage levels regardless of input across a specific range, and providing protection against voltage spikes or drops. The inline transformer is located at the end of 100 feet of SOOW 16/2 AWG cord and ends with a E20 amp 6-20P explosion proof cord cap.

This rugged-built LED handheld lamp is approved for Class I, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups C & D, and Class II, Divisions 1 & 2, Groups F & G. The inline transformer is suitable for Class I, Division 1 only. The EHL-LED-7W-240XLV-C1D1-100-2023 is constructed of non-sparking aluminum and features a molded rubber bumper guard, an annealed glass tube shield that protects the LEDs, and integrated lamp shock absorbers to prevent damage if dropped.

This unit can be handheld, or be mounted on poles, hooks, corners, indentations, with chains, or other compatible openings using an annealed aluminum wire swivel hook.

“This LED fixture is a much safer and more convenient option for completing tasks and inspections,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics LLC. “The inline transformer provides automatic input monitoring and adjustments, and the included hook gives operators hands-free operation.”
