PLANO, Texas, Sept. 22, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The 2017
InTouch Credit Union Plano Balloon Festival kicks off on
Friday, September 22 and continues
through Sunday, September 24 at Oak
Point Park. This year is the 38th for the three-day
event that includes a Pyrotex orchestrated Fireworks Show presented
by Bimbo Bakeries USA, exhibitions by the RE/MAX of Texas Parachute
Skydiver Team, inflatable rides and activities in the Central
Market Kids Fun Zone, Balloon Glow presented by State Farm, and hot
air balloon activities presented by the City of Plano.
Festival attendees have a variety of food vendors thanks to the
participation of more than 40 local non-profit agencies, corporate
restaurants, concessionaires, and vendors. The famous Plano Rotary
Club funnel cakes, mouthwatering Dickey's barbecue, Texas Skillet
Burritos, Conway's Corndogs and Fresh Lemonade include a few of the
delicious menu items available for purchase. Tethered rides in a
hot air balloon will be offered during regularly scheduled balloon
activities and tickets may be purchased on-site, $25 for adults and $15 for children age 6-12 years old. Free bus
services is offered if you want to hop on the "balloon flyer" from
the DART Parker Road Station and buses run continuously during
festival hours. The Event Site Map provides alternate parking
and all entrance locations.
The KLUV Main Stage has a full line-up featuring Limelight
presented by Direct Energy, on Friday,
September 22nd at 4:00
p.m. with two additional performances at 7:00 p.m. and 8:45
p.m. Moving Colors presented by Verizon is set to rock the
stage on Saturday, September
23rd at 7:00 p.m.,
8:30 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. Additional entertainment on the
KDFW FOX 4 Community Stage includes a full schedule of talented
local groups and performers:
