Greif Names Bala V. Sathyanarayanan as Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer

Greif, Inc. (NYSE: GEF, GEF.B), a global leader in industrial
packaging products and services, announced today the appointment of
Bala V. Sathyanarayanan as Senior Vice President & Chief Human
Resources Officer. Sathyanarayanan will join Greif as a member of
the executive leadership team.

For the past 27 years Sathyanarayanan has worked in a variety of
human resources, talent management and operational roles. He most
recently served as Executive Vice President for Human Resources for
North American Operations at the Xerox Corporation. While at Xerox,
Sathyanarayanan led several initiatives that drove business
transformations, built winning cultures and provided superior
delivery of business outcomes throughout the enterprise.
Sathyanarayanan also led human resources for the Americas
Enterprise Business at Hewlett-Packard Inc., overseeing initiatives
in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. His career also includes
roles at Avaya Inc., Polaris Software Inc., and Coca Cola Inc.
Sathyanarayanan holds an MBA in Human Resources from Rutgers
University and graduated from the Advanced Management Program at
Harvard Business School. He earned both his Bachelor of Science in
Electronics and Communications Engineering and Master of Business
Administration (MBA) in General Management degrees from the
University of Madras in Chennai, India.
