FATALITY AT PILANESBERG PLATINUM MINE

TORONTO: Platmin Limited ("Platmin", TSX/AIM: PPN) regrets to advise the death
of an employee of its mining contractor, MCC Contracts (Pty) Limited, (MCC), at
its Pilanesberg mine (PPM) in South Africa late yesterday, Wednesday 25 March.
An MCC employee lost his life in a vehicle accident on the mine. The Board and
management of Platmin extend their condolences to the family and friends of the
employee. Platmin and its operating subsidiary have pledged their full
co-operation to the safety inspectorate of the Department of Minerals and Energy
(DME), which has launched an investigation into the incident.
Following a mine-wide inspection by the DME earlier today all the mining
activities have been suspended at PPM pending the outcome of the above-mentioned
DME investigation. The processing plant was cleared by the DME to resume
operations.
Further information will be available once the DME findings of the investigation
are concluded.
