German premium car makers Daimler AG (DAI.XE) and BMW AG (BMW.XE) have offered concessions to the EU to ease anti-trust concerns over the planned combination of their car-sharing units, the European Commission said in a filing Tuesday.

The two companies submitted commitments on Monday, the EC said without providing further detail.

Daimler and BMW decided to join forces in March to better handle competition from technology giants such as Uber Technologies Inc (UBERI.XX) and China's Didi Chuxing Technology Co. They plan to combine their car-sharing units, as well as there ride-hailing and electric-vehicle-charging services, in a new joint venture to be headquartered in Berlin.

The EC has set a provisional deadline of Nov. 7 for the case for , it said.
