YONKERS, N.Y., Feb. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Crestwood Technology Group (CTG) – CTG has become the first distributor to earn the Counterfeit Avoidance Accreditation Program (CAAP) accreditation AC7402 for supply chain management.

At CTG, we are a critical component of DoD's holistic risk-based approach to counterfeit prevention," said Colonel Rick Bowyer (USA-Ret) Executive Vice President, Strategic Business Development. "We are partnered with DoD to implement counterfeit prevention standards and our workforce receives thorough counterfeit prevention training. Additionally, CTG's counterfeit lab was established for this very purpose; to detect counterfeit parts through materiel inspection and testing before it enters the supply chain. Our Warfighters demand only qualified and certified parts to support their mission, and at CTG we're part of their team. We help them maintain their operational readiness."

"Completion of the rigorous CAAP audit is a testament to our dedication to quality and being on the forefront of counterfeit avoidance", said Joseph Mancino, Chief Executive Officer at CTG. "It's the cornerstone of our business, providing authentic parts to our valued customers, ensuring a market place free of counterfeits and we're doing this by establishing a strong Regulatory and Compliance environment and creating counterfeit avoidance processes internally and together with our customer partners."
