Blink Charging Co. (BLNK) a company which owns, operates and provides electric vehicle charging station products and services, said Tuesday it teamed up with Google Maps to help electric vehicle drivers locate its charging stations.

Shares of the stock soared on the news, and at 2:07 p.m. EDT were trading 45.21% higher at $3.18. Over 6.7 million shares had traded, well above the stock's 65-day average volume of 507,817.

Google Maps is launching a new feature to bring electric vehicle charging stations to its map. Blink said it was working with Google Maps to ensure their charging stations and relevant information is available to Google Map users on Android, iOS, and desktops.
