Beazer Homes, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, has
purchased 42 acres of land in Cumming, Georgia and will begin
building Herrington, a 55+ active-adult community in 2018. This
multi-product, age-restricted community will feature 4-story
condominium buildings as well as single-family ranch homes in an
amenity-rich setting. Herrington will provide a breadth of
floorplan options and a vibrant lifestyle well-suited to those
looking to downsize without compromising convenience, location, or
individuality.
Herrington will offer 75 single-family dwellings, while
Gatherings® at Herrington will include 108 condos, with residents
enjoying a clubhouse, pool, and outdoor recreational facilities,
along with easy access to GA-400 and The Collection at Forsyth – a
combination that will appeal to both Atlanta-area buyers and those
looking to relocate to the area.
“What drew our development team to the site that will become the
premier 55+ community in the Atlanta area is its superior location
near GA-400 and Ronald Reagan Pkwy., as well as its proximity to
shopping and entertainment. Additionally, the property extended the
ability to offer varied home designs to 55-and-better
home-shoppers, meeting the needs of this dynamic, diverse
demographic segment,” said Stephen Haines, Atlanta Division
President. “The area surrounding Herrington is ideal for
active-adults, whether local or seasonal. This fact, coupled with
Cumming’s robust real estate market, will result in a high level of
interest in Herrington and will offer an unprecedented lifestyle
and wealth management proposition for those looking to age
in-the-mix while enjoying an extremely low-maintenance
lifestyle.”
With the addition of this parcel to Beazer’s land portfolio, the
company now has 12 communities in various stages of development
across the greater Atlanta area and 4 Gatherings condominium
communities throughout the country. To learn more about Beazer
